Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Thinkific, a leading edtech platform empowering creators to build and sell online courses, is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our fully remote engineering team. You'll work on our core learning management system, focusing on improving course completion analytics and building new student engagement features. This role requires 5+ years of Rails experience, deep PostgreSQL knowledge, and comfort with AWS services like RDS and S3. You'll participate in bi-weekly sprint planning, daily async standups, and have occasional overlapping meetings with our Vancouver-based product team (EST/EDT hours). Strong written and verbal English communication is essential for collaborating with distributed colleagues across design and product. The ideal candidate has prior remote experience, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and takes pride in writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
