Senior WordPress Developer

10up, a renowned enterprise WordPress agency, is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to build complex, high-traffic websites for clients in media, publishing, and e-commerce. We build on the WordPress VIP platform, emphasizing performance, accessibility, and security. You'll write custom Gutenberg blocks in React, architect custom post type relationships, and optimize database queries for scale. We expect deep expertise in PHP and modern JavaScript (ES6+). This is a fully distributed role requiring proactive communication and strong problem-solving skills. You'll participate in daily text-based standups and occasional video calls for sprint planning, with a requirement to overlap with Pacific Time hours. Candidates must be comfortable working independently while adhering to rigorous code review and documentation standards.
