Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (EdTech)

Top Hat is revolutionizing higher education with our dynamic courseware platform, and we're looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our Course Content team. You will build features that help professors create engaging interactive textbooks and assessments. We value clean code, thoughtful architecture, and a test-driven approach. You should be intimately familiar with Rails internals, ActiveRecord performance tuning, and background job processing (Sidekiq). Experience with GraphQL APIs is a strong asset. You'll work in a supportive, remote-first environment with bi-weekly sprints and a focus on asynchronous communication via well-documented RFCs. English proficiency is essential for code reviews and collaborative problem-solving.
