Ngoc Do

Sasu Do is an independent filmmaker specializing in directing and cinematography. Coming from a background steeped in foreign culture, Sasu seeks to reconnect with their roots by exploring the diversity of the human bonds that connect the Vietnamese people and critiquing harmful intersectional stigmas surrounding mental health that still exist in Vietnamese society. Having had a fascination with machines and computers since they were a child, Sasu treats cameras & lights as teammates while blending personal storytelling with gothic, nihilistic & queer influences. In the future, Sasu hopes to pursue an MFA in filmmaking & work as a director of photography making feature films in an industry that often finds itself dominated by male DPs.
